An old comic stylization I did of the fourth Apocalyptic Horseman, the Pale Rider, Death. I'm endlessles frustrated and amuzed at how the Four are almost always portrayed as evil, though if you red the passage carefully, they are all sent by God to carry out his plan for the end of the world. They aren't fallen angels at all; all four do exactly what they're told, even if it is a bit... unpleasant. Conquest, War, Famine, and Death aren't in and of themselves evil. They're grim but they're a part of life.

Think I got the line up wrong? Most people have that confused as well. Check it out, Revelations 6, verses 2 to 8. Pestilience and famine are both aspects of the third rider, and the first one is completely left out, as he is described. How do these things get started? Who knows.
