I for one adore it.

Though the shotgun grip strikes me as a mite too modern, plus it makes me think of htis as more of a lightning shotgun then a lightning gun. Still great.

I'm almost terrified to ask, what would it take for you to make one that actually fires something? Not lightning probably, but, some sort of projectile that was possibly on fire? Something tells me that these may, at some point, end up functional. If they do, inform me, if you please. I want to see this.

You must've had this question dozens of times, but what I'm wondering about is this: how do you design and build such a thing? Personally, I've got a few ideas as to what I want to make, but I've no ideas what to use as a basis and/or construction materials.
